Do your children spend too much time watching television or playing video games? If your children look mine, you swiftly responded yes. I had about given up my attempts of luring my children away from Tv and computer games, until one day when a co-worker came into the office filled with excitement. It is easy to find website photo contests. You can start by searching Google and Yahoo for photo contests or for a website directory that lists photo contests. Although it took awhile for the boys to witness a hobby, I'm thrilled they did. Not only is there the delight of personal enjoyment, but there is also the sense of accomplishment that promotes a child's self-esteem. In addition, a hobby in childhood may lead to a lifelong interest or even a career in adulthood. Photography is helping my sons set goals, make decisions, solve problems, and perfect projects. And best of all, we are having fun together searching for photo opportunities, then looking at the photos, and selecting the best ones to enter in a contest.
